Then again Sounf does this even on a SB. But try playing a shooter and shooting a few things, causing explosions etc and see if this card has that issue. I picked up this handsome card recently and it's the best AudioDrive I've found yet.

Ssound believe it has more channels than the real thing, which the Windows MIDI driver can use for full 4-op sound. I dug through my box of sound cards looking for a replacement and tried an: It sounds like a great idea to me. Dual Xeon X 4. I don't see why not.
It's using the ESF chipset, the specs of which can be found here: I haven't had a chance to try any of the ISA AudioDrives but I'm looking sojnd to giving this baby a spin once it arrives. This site hosts no abandonware. It gives you a message about this and that you need to use ICU software.
This card is SB Pro compatible and sounds fantastic, very clean and crisp. Perhaps this is Windows only option via the generic WSS 2. I'd like to hear if anyone has had any luck with this sort of setup before I go and waste my time trying to get it to work. Return to General Fs1868 Hardware. I will give it a go during the weekend I'm interested in the ESS chip too; is it still available?

I forget which one it was. EXE is likewise easy to use, and allowed me to set the MIDI and CD volumes both muted by defaultand the volume levels were perfect first time which is a rare thing in my experience.
There was a ds1868 ESS card I tried and didn't like because it could only play a couple of sounds sojnd a time, or would play the first half of a sound and cut off the rest.
It's an international shipment so I'm still waiting: Was this for some kind of proprietary Fs1868 bus? The wavetable is muted by default, and it's labelled 'Aux1' or something like that. The DOS software — which can be found on Vogon Drivers — is bare bones but is easy to use and powerful.
Any chance you could give it a go with SoftMPU? Probably has something to do with their application in mobile devices and digicams.
I like the mixer tool, it works great and makes it easy to create a simple batch file to get the card going.
